Welcome to Honeythedog.co.uk. I’m Grace, and I have a 2 year old Springador called Honey. As a lifelong animal lover, I couldn’t imagine living in a home without a dog in it. When the time was right, my husband & I found Honey and she filled our lives with joy. Being someone who grew up with a very docile rescue dog – getting a puppy was the most eye-opening baptism of fire. I had no clue how hard (but rewarding) it would be. I learned so much from puppy training classes, youtube, books, and online resources to help me get through it. Thats why I started to blog about my experiences and hopefully help others.
We’ve built our lives in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside in the UK. As a childless 20-something couple, we love going on staycations with the dog. We’ve taken Honey to the highlands of Scotland, and to the Cornish coast. Wherever we go, I love to write a hotel review to let others know about the amazing dog-friendly places we’ve stayed. Please get in touch with any dog friendly hotel recommendations at lyonlavery@gmail.com.
I achieved a degree in International Business in 2020, and landed myself a graduate job at one of the largest retailers in the UK on the Ecommerce team. After 3 years of experience in Website Optimisation and SEO, I discovered the blogging community online and wanted to dip my toe in the water. Honeythedog.co.uk was the result!
